Newburgh, Ind. – Car dealerships will soon have a fast, easy way to take physical inventory of their vehicles and make VIN bar code scanning obsolete. CP Handheld Technologies, the leading retail automotive reconciliation solution provider, is seeking beta testers of its prototype, VIN Query, an automatic physical vehicle inventory system that works alongside CP Handheld’s technology for new and used inventory reconciliation. To be released by end of third quarter, this new technology pulls vehicles’ unique Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) from their onboard computers and sends the information to CP Handheld receivers that automatically log the vehicles into physical inventory through a custom web portal.
